How can I increase my employee's awareness of the value of diversity?

Do you have a workforce that is unbalanced relative to the community? Do you have inequitable application of policies, procedures and practices leading to disparate opportunities, type casting and glass ceilings? Diversity concerns itself with differences. Differences are not better, nor worse; they're just different. The point in companies however, is fair and equitable treatment for all employees. Fair treatment for all will increase workforce parity with the community, encourage greater contributions from all employees, improve the customer base and enhance the corporate image.

Diversity enhances the work place for each and every employee. No individual or group is sacrificed for the benefit of another. Blame is backward looking and a waste of time. Fair policies, procedures and practices are forward looking. Good, fair management will benefit each individual and the corporation as a whole. With diversity, ultimately, no one loses and everyone gains.
